(The AU is still a work in progress. Things are still subject to change.)
This AU is based off a rather old concept. What if the heroes we know are the villains and what if the villains we know are heroes?
When DC offers an answer to this what-if the tone is usually dark in some way. Our heroes are not so heroic or are outnumbered. In this AU the heroes are still very much virtuous individuals in their own ways and the stakes are what they usually are in the regular DC universe.
The Justice League has the world wide prominence it has in the canon universe. It contains members including but not limited to; Alexander Luthor, Poison Ivy, The Joker, Zoom and Sinestro.
All of them combating many enemies who have taken the ideals of their heroic counterparts and twisted them or went down a different road.
Batman and many of his allies for example consider themselves a force of justice, but do so by killing not only heinous criminals, but also corrupt politicians and those who get in the way of their justice.
Superman rather than being found by good-natured farmers was instead found by petty crooks that started him on a life of crime.
